The current research aims to identify (emotional relationships via social media networks among university students and the significance of statistical differences in emotional relationships via social media networks according to the gender variable (males - females). To achieve the research objectives, the researcher adopted a measure of emotional relationships via social media networks according to the theory of (Levinger 1988) for university students. The scale consisted of (18) items. The construct validity and face validity were verified, and the stability of the scale was verified using two re-test methods, and the reliability coefficient reached (78, 0), while the reliability coefficient of the tool using the Cronbach alpha method reached (80, 0). The sample of the current research consisted of (100) male and female students, a basic sample of university students for morning study. The research sample was chosen by a stratified random method with a proportional distribution, and using the statistical package (SPSS), as a statistical means. Social networking, and there are no statistically significant differences in measuring emotional relationships through social networking according to the variables of gender (males, females). In light of the results of the current research, the research came out with a number of recommendations and proposals. Recommendation (conducting studies that attempt to uncover the psychological and social causes and effects of romantic relationships via social media networks) (Conclusions) Emotional relationships through social media networks exist among the research sample.
