Abstract

The research highlights a grammatical topic, namely (deletion and estimation), which has been studied by Iraqi researchers interested in grammatical interpretation. Deletion is a significant linguistic phenomenon that has received considerable attention from scholars, both ancient and modern, particularly among grammarians, in their linguistic studies. Omission is a means of interpretation or what is commonly referred to as a manifestation of interpretation. In fact, Arabs often employ this phenomenon in various contexts to achieve a degree of brevity and conciseness, as well as to serve multiple rhetorical purposes. It is an art form in Arabic speech, and it should only be done based on evidence. Grammarians address deletion in all its aspects, whether it involves omitting a diacritic, a letter, a word, or even a sentence. Therefore, deletion and estimation are considered significant aspects of the interpretative manifestations discussed in the efforts that this study is based on. Accordingly, this study combines two main topics: the concept of deletion as the first topic, and deletion in nouns (nominatives, accusatives, and genitives) as the second topic. I chose this title to gather the scattered efforts in this area into one comprehensive research paper.
