Abstract

The Holy Qur'an is the first source of protest among the Arabs. It is the most reliable evidence and the strongest argument. It is the source cannot be judged otherwise. Therefore, grammarians gave great importance to the Qur'anic witness and made it at the forefront of their sources in their study of grammatical rules and provisions. Sheikh Khaled Al-Azhari and Al-Ashmouni followed Ibn Hisham in that. They meant by it an explanation of the Qur'anic evidence that they quoted from him, detailing what was said about it, and then adding a number of evidence to it, out of their desire to increase clarification. Perhaps examining these evidence from two distinguished scholars enables us to gain insight into the grammatical thinking of that time period. How to deal with evidence and derive grammatical rulings from it.
