Copyright Policy
- Licensing & Publication Rights
Upon submission, authors grant Diyala Journal of Humanities a license to publish, display, store, copy, and reuse their article’s content. To formalize this, we require authors to sign a publishing agreement after their manuscript has successfully completed peer review, been accepted, and entered the final production stage. This contract grants the journal necessary rights to disseminate the work while ensuring authors retain key intellectual property protections.
- Originality & Anti-Plagiarism
- Original Work Requirement: All submissions must be the author’s original work and must not violate any third-party copyrights. Authors are responsible for securing permissions for reused material (e.g., figures, text excerpts).
- Plagiarism Screening: Submissions are rigorously screened using plagiarism-detection software. Instances of plagiarism will result in rejection or retraction.
- Text/Data Duplication: The journal strictly prohibits duplicate publication of content (text, figures, or data) in any form. Manuscripts are verified for originality prior to submission.
- Fair Use & Attribution
We encourage proper citation and adherence to fair use principles when referencing others’ work. Authors must ensure any reused material complies with copyright law and is appropriately attributed.
- Editorial Authority
The Editor-in-Chief reserves the right to approve or reject submissions based on compliance with these policies. Authors must confirm adherence to all guidelines during submission, including providing documentation for copyrighted materials.
- Protecting Intellectual Property
We prioritize safeguarding authors’ rights and the integrity of our publications:
- Author Recognition: Researchers retain copyright but grant the journal publishing rights.
- Infringement Action: If copyright violations are identified post-publication, we will take immediate corrective measures, including withdrawal or corrections, to uphold ethical standards.
