Abstract
The research aims to identify the moral blindness among university students, the statistically significant differences of moral blindness among university students according to the variable of gender (males - females) and the variable of specialization (humanitarian - scientific). To achieve the aims of the research, a tool was used in the study to measure its variable from the construction of researchers, which is the scale of moral blindness according to the Theory of Palazzo and et al. (Palazzo and et al, 2012), and the scale was applied to the research sample of (400) male and female students from the University of Diyala.
After treating the research data statistically using (T-test for one sample, T-test for two independent samples, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient, and Alpha-Cronbach Equation), the research reached the following results:
- The members of the research sample have a low level of moral blindness compared to the hypothetical average of the scale.
- There is a statistically significant difference according to the variable of gender in favor of males in moral blindness.
The results were interpreted in light of the theoretical framework of the research, and the study came up with a number of recommendations and suggestions.
