Abstract

External rhythm is an essential element in the construction of a poetic text, and is one of the controls that distinguishes it from other literary arts. External rhythm contributes to directing the text semantically and rhetorically. In addition, it is an important factor in the aesthetic influence of the poetic praise text in Sicilian poetry.
