Abstract

Cultural criticism is based on its literary view of texts on the implicit and the pattern hidden behind the words of beauty. Reading from the cultural side does not stop at the aesthetic phenomena of the language, as many writers fear the meanings of texts through the use of language masks whose appearance suggests beauty, the ugly is not acceptable to the recipient, and in this way, it works to deceive him, and perhaps one of the language masks used in ancient and modern Arabic poetry tried to hide the pattern of virility. This research attempts to define the concept of the theme of virility, and to focus on the most important manifestations of the theme of virility in the poetry of Jassim Al-Ajja.
