Abstract: This study delves into the literary imagery presented in Maysalon Hadi's novel, "A Soft Pink Dream." These images are conveyed through a variety of methods and techniques, such as symbolism, metaphor, allegory, writing, and paradox. Symbolism, in particular, assumes diverse forms and undergoes transformations, involving the title, setting, objects, specific characters, and ancient myths. The mechanism of similarity, encompassing similes and metaphors, is distinctly clear and prominent throughout the novel, emerging as a pivotal and effective tool. This effectiveness stems from the deliberate placement of these images within the narrative text by the novelist, facilitating the creation of visual spaces that captivate the readers' imaginations. These metonymic images not only serve an artistic purpose but also carry a profound and influential connotation. Maysalon Hadi skillfully employs the paradox of situations and events to sculpt the narrative across various temporal dimensions (past and present) or spatial elements (dream and reality). This narrative strategy gives rise to paradoxes with multifaceted functions.
