Abstract

This research aims to study the rhythmic patterns contained in the texts of the Iraqi poet Abdul-Sada Al-Basri in his poetry collection (I Did Not Borrow a Face). This research aims to examine the Iraqi poet's ability to shape his poetic texts according to modern rhythmic features, stimulating the recipient's mind and provoking their aesthetic convictions regarding prose poetry. This poetry, distinguished from classical and free verse poetry by its unique rhythmic characteristics, is based on verbal sequence, pictorial contrast, and general harmony. The study adopted analytical mechanisms operating under the umbrella of the descriptive approach to explore the depths of these rhythmic patterns and reveal their musical manifestations. The study plan included an introduction, a preface, four chapters, a conclusion, and a list of the most important sources and references.
