Abstract

The area is located in the southern and eastern part of Baghdad Governorate, and Al-Arous (40 km2) is one of the industrial contributing sites represented by the production of bricks, which is one of the parts of humanity that developed. It appears partly in the region, through the extraction of clay that affected this industry and thus left traces through the earth’s excavations. This is in an area of (50 factories) for the production of bricks, the area of each one of which is (3 dunums), except for the Nakhla Al Janoub Company factory, whose area remains (10 dunams). There is a larger area for the rest of the factories available in the area and the Dhafaf al-Nahrain factory, whose area is not completed (4). 5 dunums), so at least one of them is boring and does not extract clay, which affects this industry, and it is widely spread within the region, and the depths of digging in these quarries reach (10 meters), and the amount of clay extracted mostly failed in the laboratories (75,000 thousand meters) and it was gone. Because of what Iraq has witnessed, including the region, there has been urban development in recent years, which has led to an increasing demand for construction products, especially bricks
