Abstract

This study led to present images that showed us the verbal and semantic diversity of the two pillars of the nominal sentence, the subject and predicate, and how the purposes offered by one sentence pattern are not offered by another. These images varied, to perform different syntactic and semantic purposes. The researcher tried in this study to extract the subject, with its types (the explicit name, the separate pronoun, the connected name, and the general words), as well as the types of predicate, which are : (singular, sentence and semi-sentence), as well as the uses of subject and predicate in terms of positioning (fronting and delaying) and mentioning (explicit mention and omission). and each type performs a purpose that may work to remove the fixed meanings provided by the nominal sentence in its general framework, and refer them to renewed and changing meanings, each of these structures was employed in a way that showed the grammatical meanings related to them in Sunan al-Darqatni, by applying to the selected models, and communicating them with the intended grammatical and semantic purpose
