Abstract

The current research aims to identify: 1. The level of administrative intelligence among university administrators. 2. The significance of statistical differences in administrative intelligence among university administrators according to the variables of gender (male, female), educational attainment (Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD), and years of service (less than 10 years, more than 10 years). To achieve the objectives of this study, the researcher adopted the Administrative Intelligence Scale developed by Al-Zaidi (2017) and based the study on the definition and theory of Minkz (2010). The scientific steps in scale construction were followed, including verification of face validity and construct validity. Reliability was confirmed through test-retest method, yielding a reliability coefficient of (0.82), while Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient reached (0.79). The scale was applied to the main research sample (results sample), which consisted of (269) male and female administrators from the University of Diyala. Data were statistically analyzed using the one-sample t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and the independent samples t-test. The research reached the following findings: 1. University administrators have administrative intelligence due to the nature of their work, which requires continuous interaction with diverse situations, a high degree of flexibility, and decision-making ability. The results favored males, showed no significant difference related to educational attainment, and favored those with more than 10 years of service. In light of the findings, the current research presented several recommendations and suggestions.
