Abstract

The current research aims to identify: The level of soft skills among university students. To identify the significance of differences in soft skills according to gender. The research sample consisted of (400) male and female students from the University of Diyala / College of Education for Humanities, of both genders. The research sample was selected using a simple random method with proportional distribution. To achieve the research objectives, the researcher constructed a scale (soft skills) according to the theoretical literature that the researcher addressed in the second chapter. The scale consisted of (20) paragraphs. The apparent validity, construct validity, and reliability were verified using the retest method. The reliability coefficient reached (81%), while the reliability coefficient of the tool using the Cronbach's alpha method reached (70%). By using the statistical package (SPSS) as a statistical tool, the following results were reached: College of Education for Humanities students possess soft skills. There are no statistically significant differences in the level of soft skills based on gender. In light of the findings, the researcher presents a set of recommendations and suggestions.
