The capacity mentalizaition for students University

Abstract

The current research aims to identify the mentalizaition ability of university students, as well as the significance of differences in reasoning ability according to the gender variable (male, female). To achieve the objectives of the current research, the researcher adopted the metalizaition Scale(Dimitrijević et al., 2017) in its foreign version, which includes (28) items, extracted the validity of its translation, and applied it to a sample of (400) male and female students selected using the stratified random method from the morning study students of the University of Diyala for the academic year (2024 - 2025), distributed equally according to the gender variable. The researcher also extracted its psychometric properties. The results of the statistical analysis showed that university students have mentalizaition ability, and there are no statistically significant differences in the level of reasoning according to the gender variable. In continuation of the aspects related to the current research, the researcher came up with some suggestions and recommendations
