Abstract

This research sheds light on climate change, which represents a serious challenge facing Arab countries, including Iraq, which is ranked as the fifth country at risk of these changes; as it suffers from high temperatures in the summer and a lack of rain in the winter, leading to a real water crisis and dry land, which in turn leads to the migration of farmers. This is accompanied by the failure of neighboring countries to adhere to water policy by reducing water supplies to the country. The research focuses on the impact of climate change on the water crisis in Iraq, and on future solutions. The descriptive analytical approach was adopted to diagnose the phenomenon of climate change and its impact on the water crisis, and the legal approach to analyze international treaties and agreements in the parties' commitment to them.
