Abstract

During this period, the Abbasid state experienced a phase of weakness, especially after the Seljuks gained control over Baghdad,Despite the Seljuks' power, this strength was occasionally undermined, which encouraged and created opportunities for local powers to compete for authority, During this era, the city of Ba‘qubah, as one of the peripheral cities, underwent a series of military campaigns due to its strategic geographical location, serving as a link between Baghdad and Khorasan, These conflicts left noticeable economic and social impacts on the daily life of the inhabitants. This study represents a window into understanding the political and military nature of the Islamic state during this period, The motivation behind this research was to comprehend the nature of the military campaigns that affected Ba‘qubah in that era, based on information derived from both ancient and contemporary historical sources concerning these events
