Abstract

The study revolves around NATO's position on the Russian-Ukrainian war on February 4, 2022, and the analysis at the beginning of a real crisis in relations between Russia on the one hand, and NATO on the other, after these relations began in 1990. The study specifically examines the dimensions of this war, its determinants, developments, and the alliance's position on it, especially since the alliance's relations with Russia witnessed periods of tension and limited cooperation before the outbreak of the war. The study came using the analytical method, reading the events before the outbreak of the war, understanding the alliance's positions on Russia before the war, and knowing what were Russia's motives for its move towards Ukraine? What were the relations between the two countries before that? What was the starting point of the disagreements between the two countries? And what were the alliance's positions on the developments that occurred between the two countries?.
