The Impact of Agricultural Extension on Agricultural Development in Baghdad: A Field Study

Abstract

The current research seeks to identify the impact of agricultural extension on agricultural development in Baghdad through a field study. To achieve the current research objective، the researcher followed the steps of the descriptive survey approach using a sample of (139) male and female farmers in the Yusufiyah region. A questionnaire was constructed to demonstrate the impact of agricultural extension on achieving agricultural development goals. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire were verified before and after its implementation. After conducting the field study، the research concluded that: • The Agricultural Extension Association plays a significant role in developing farmers' skills regarding the latest developments in agricultural work. • The Agricultural Extension Association has a clear philosophy regarding agricultural development and its role in developing it among farmers. • The agricultural extension provided by the Agricultural Extension Association plays a clear and vital role in promoting agricultural development among farmers.
