Abstract
The information available about the birth of al-‘Abdarī remains scarce, as does our precise knowledge regarding his death. However, al-‘Abdarī stands as a vivid example, offering us a live depiction of the cities he passed through, including their political, economic, social, and architectural aspects, as well as insights into their rulers, scholars, and religious figures. Al-‘Abdarī provides an account of the Islamic monuments in Egypt, highlighting their architectural structures and the social life surrounding them, as well as the attention they received from Egyptian rulers. These sites attracted people who visited them to seek blessings and make offerings .
