Abstract

The interest in critical theories is a prominent part of the field of modern literary studies; this study stopped at cultural criticism, which is considered an epistemological illumination that accompanied the post-modern era, through its call for a broader and more liberated criticism through studying the latent and implicit systems in texts in general; in an attempt to apply this criticism to Ibn Hamdis’ poetry, trying to uncover the buried systematic connotations and implicit systems in his poetry, which the poet cannot reveal directly, and it is not easy in some place to extract them without contemplating in light of the data of cultural criticism, and the dimensions of the systematic texts and their functions
