Abstract
The aim of the current research is to identify personal curiosity and statistically significant differences according to the variables of gender and specialization among university students, and to achieve these aims, the researchers built a personal curiosity scale according to the theory of (Loewenstein, 1994). After verifying the sincerity and stability of the scale it was applied on a sample of (400) male and female students at University of Diyala and were selected randomly with a proportional distribution. After processing the data statistically, it was found that university students have personal curiosity and the absence of statistically significant differences in personal curiosity according to gender (males and females) and no statistical differences according to the variable of specialization (Scientific - Humanitarian). In light of these results the current research came out with a number of recommendations and suggestions.
