Abstract

The research aims to show the characteristics of the young demographic population in Iraq for the year 2023 geographically, as well as know their size within each age group, according to the type and the environment. It was found through the research that the size of the youth population in Iraq reached (19616544) people, distributed a different distribution, and there is a spatial contrast in the size of the youth population from one governorate to another, as Baghdad Governorate topped the arrangement and the highest size for the young population reached (4253744) people, and at a rate ( 21.7%), while Al -Muthanna Governorate recorded the lowest volume of (412301), with a rate of (2.1%). The arrangement topped the age group (15 - 19 years), with relative importance (23.7%), and the age group (40 - 44 years) came the lowest percentage (11.8%), and the number of young population in Al -Hadr (13942805) people, while their number in the countryside reached the countryside (5673739) people.
