Abstract

It is well known that the Qur'anic evidence had a significant impact on grammatical studies, as it is the fundamental text from which linguists derived their rules, organizing and recording the language based on it, which contributed to its enrichment. It stands out for its authenticity and reliability, and its freedom from the constraints imposed by rhyme or meter. Thus, we see that Arabic scholars unanimously based their rules on this miraculous text. We find that Ibn Asfour and Abu Hayyan al-Andalusi employed the Qur'anic evidence and made it the basis on which the grammatical principles in their works are built. The researcher will discuss how they used the Qur'anic evidence by presenting the issue and explaining the position of each of them in establishing the grammatical rule and reasoning behind it.
