Abstract

This research aims to determine the impact of a guidance program based on modeling on developing digital literacy among middle school students. The study focuses on middle school students during the 2025-2026 academic year. The researchers employed an experimental approach with a quasi-experimental design using pre- and post-tests. The statistical analysis sample for constructing the digital literacy scale consisted of 400 students selected using stratified random sampling. The guidance program sample comprised 20 students, selected purposively and randomly and equally divided into experimental and control groups. The digital literacy scale was developed based on the model developed by Ng (2012). The statistical properties of the scale items were calculated, and its psychometric properties were confirmed. The final version consisted of 18 items. A guidance program was designed using modeling to develop digital literacy. Appropriate statistical methods were used to analyze the data. The results of this research indicate that the program demonstrated an impact on developing digital literacy among the research sample. The research concluded with a number of recommendations and suggestions based on the results.
