Abstract

The study focused on examining the impact of housing orientation on the residents' sense of comfort within the housing unit according to the "Olgyay’s classification". It relied on statistical analysis of the study’s data, organized into tables and graphs, based on field observation to measure the climatic elements in the Maki Housing complex, including temperature and humidity. Measurements were taken using electronic thermometers to determine temperature and relative humidity. The findings of this study revealed that the best orientation within the limits of thermal comfort during the morning observation is the northwest orientation; while the optimal orientation during the evening observation is the north orientation.
