Abstract

The current research aims to identify moral alertness among university students, and to achieve the research objectives, the researchers adopted the Al-Khafaji scale (2021). This tool is suitable for obtaining the primary data necessary to achieve the objectives of the study. It consists of two sections: the introduction and personal information (gender), and the second section includes the moral alertness scale. It consists of (45) paragraphs The researchers followed the descriptive approach to suit it for the purposes of the current study The current research community consists of students of the College of Education for Human Sciences for morning studies at the University of Basra for the academic year 2022/2023, numbering (43190). The research sample was selected randomly, using the statistical package (spss) as a statistical means to reach the following results: The research sample has high moral vigilance compared to the theoretical average, and with a statistically significant difference. There are no statistically significant differences in moral vigilance according to the gender variable (male-female) because the calculated t-value is smaller than the tabular t-value. In light of the results of the current research, the research came out with a number of recommendations and proposals.
