Emotional communication among Secondary School Female Students

Abstract

The concept of emotional communication is the main concept mentioned in this research. Emotional communication has been defined as the interactions of family members in a way to understand, build, and organize the family through focusing on communication, function, and structural forces as an attempt to change and build the family. Aims of the Research: The current research aimed to: - Measuring emotional communication among female Secondary school students. Limits of the Research: The current research included female secondary school students for the academic year (2023/2024) followed to General Directorate of Education in Governorate of Baghdad / Karkh III, and the number of respondents amounted to (400) female students. Research Tool: To achieve the aims of the current research, the researcher: Build a scale of emotional communication, the scale consisted of (30) items and its alternatives were (always apply, apply often, sometimes, never). The scale was shown to a committee of experts specialized in educational and psychological sciences, to show its validity, and it was agreed upon its items (100%) with some modifications in their form. The apparent reliability and construct validity were used, and the stability indicators were used by the retesting method, and the Alpha-Cronbach equation for internal consistency. Statistical Methods: T-test for one sample and Pearson's correlation coefficient were used to reach the research results. The current research reached the following: Secondary school female students suffer from poor emotional communication, and according to this result, the researcher came up with some recommendations and suggestions.
