Abstract

This research seeks to investigate the value hidden behind the Iraqi Nineties text (the cognitive value itself) and the cognitive layers that lie behind it, making the purely linguistic cognitive procedure a parallel critical path, as it takes emerging cognitive criticism as a way of working.Trying to answer some of the floating problems in the various theories of cognitive criticism, the first of which is what is the real value that cognitive linguistics brings?

What is cognitive linguistics and what is its function in modern critical procedure?

Does the Iraqi poetic text of the nineties carry these values that are no longer able to carry the cognitive theme, far from the overwhelming aesthetic?

Our critical examination procedure came to shed light on the ninetieth text in Iraqi poetry, this dangerous temporality (for the Iraqi mentality) and the innovative predicates it brought, which may be effective in conveying the scene of authoritarian pressure, the border war, the siege, and the existential threat that has been entrenched in every memory of an Iraqi individual.

This research came with a thorough introduction to revealing the concept of cognitive linguistics and two axes, the first of which is critical theorizing by revealing the value of the nineties text and the second and most important of which is the effective applied procedure on the models chosen by a group of poets whose texts varied and governed by the nineties time period.

It is accompanied by a conclusion and the most important results, along with a census of the sources that influenced this research.
