Abstract
The goal of the current research is to identify perceived social stigma and statistically significant differences according to the gender variable (male-female) among university employees. To achieve these goals, the two researchers built a measure of perceived social stigma according to Frost’s theory (Frost; 2011,) and after verifying its validity and reliability. The scale was applied to a sample of (400) male and female employees from the University of Diyala, who were selected randomly with a proportional distribution. After processing the data statistically, it was found that the university employees had a level of perceived social stigma that was less than the hypothetical average of the scale and that there were no statistically significant differences in stigma. Perceived social status according to gender (males - females). In light of these results, the current research came out with a number of recommendations and proposals.
